wait, let me get something clear. on the way to or from the PCOs you actually got out of the car and communed with the nature?! this is against the code, my dear. remember, we never/rarely interact with the nature. i sincerely hope a bug did not get on you or anything akin to that. risky business, this photo of the day.
Don't you just love the little things you can see, if you are watching out for them, on a road trip?

Clearly not for the nature, but sometimes a photographer has to experience the unpleasant in order to get "the shot".
The canyons are so beautiful.
